Prepared by Radif Partners · Method · Rules read in the BOE and the regional gazettes on 26 October 2026
The Principality of Asturias published its Bono Alquiler Joven call in BOPA no. 11 of 19 January 2026, with a window of one month from the day after publication. The aid was granted strictly in order of arrival until 6.6 million euros ran out. What made it unusual was the period it paid for: financial effects could be recognised from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2025, so it mainly reimbursed rent already paid. The call required being under 36, a rent of up to 600 euros for a flat or 300 for a room, and household income up to 3 times the IPREM. It is now closed and no other call has been published. The youth aid and the general aid of the 2026-2030 State Plan have no Asturian call either, although the State allocated 26.4 million euros to the region for 2026. The calculator shows what you would be entitled to.
A call to recover rent already paid
BOPA no. 11 of 19 January 2026 published the summary of the Asturian Bono call. Its window, 20 January 2026 to 19 February 2026, comes from counting one month from the day after publication, since the gazette only gives that rule. What set it apart from other regions is that it did not look forward: eligible months ran from January 2024 to December 2025. Tenants who had rented over that time and met the rules could recover up to €6,000 of past rent.
Awards went in order of arrival until 6.6 million euros were spent. The procedure record is in the National Grants Database, and applications are tracked on the Principality's e-government site. If you are still waiting for a decision, remember that any change of address or income must be reported while the file is open.
Requirements and caps used in Asturias
The call required being under 36, which matches the limit of 35 inclusive in article 6 of Royal Decree 42/2022. The rent cap is the general one: €600 for a flat and €300 for a room. For income the whole household counts except for a room, with a limit of €25,200 a year. If you rent a room in Oviedo or Gijón and wonder how much each scheme would cover, compare here:

After the call
The Principality's 2025 rent aid, with its three lines for the general public, especially vulnerable people and sudden vulnerability, closed in November 2025 and is paid from the previous national plan. The 2026-2030 State Plan allocated 26.4 million euros to Asturias for 2026, but there is no call yet for either the youth aid or the general aid.
If you want to settle in a small municipality, the Plan youth purchase aid accepts homes up to €250,000 in Asturias, with a maximum of €15,000 and 20% of the price, once the region opens it.
