Castile-La Mancha had two rent aids in the first half of 2026. The first was the 2025 Bono Alquiler Joven, published in DOCM no. 237 of 9 December 2025, with applications from 10 December to 16 February 2026 and awards by date and time of filing until 8 million euros ran out. It used the general cap, 600 euros for a flat and 300 for a room. The second was a regional bridge aid, Order 62/2026 published in the DOCM on 7 May, designed to fill the gap until the new national plan arrives: it paid 50% of the rent for up to twelve months of 2026, with no age limit, and rent caps by zone between 648 and 953 euros. Its window ended on 15 June 2026. Both are closed and the 2026-2030 State Plan has no call in Castile-La Mancha yet. The calculator compares what each scheme would pay.

The 2025 Bono, closed in February

The call in DOCM no. 237 of 9 December 2025 opened the Bono 10 December 2025 to 16 February 2026. It applied the rules of Royal Decree 42/2022: €250 a month for 24 months, age up to 35, income up to 3 times the IPREM and rent up to €600. It was awarded by date and time of filing until the 8 million ran out. The record is in the National Grants Database.

Order 62/2026 is the regional answer to the delay in the national plan. Instead of a fixed amount, it paid 50% of the rent, for up to twelve months of 2026, to households with income up to 3 times the IPREM, with margins of 4 and 5 times for some groups. The rent cap depended on the municipality: €953 in the most expensive stressed areas, €876 in the next tier and €762 or €648 elsewhere, plus 20% for large families or disability. It had 5 million euros and closed on 15 June 2026.

The gap with the Bono is wide for higher rents. On 700 euros in Guadalajara or Toledo, 50% is 350 euros, more than the Bono's €250, which also refuses rents above €600. Compare how the national aids would work with your rent:

What the 2026-2030 Plan will bring

The 2026-2030 State Plan allocated 32 million euros to Castile-La Mancha for 2026. When the region opens it, the youth aid will pay up to €300 a month with a general cap of €1,000, and the general aid will cover a share of the rent with no age limit. For buying in a small town, Annex IV sets the regional maximum price at €250,000. Meanwhile, keep your bank payment receipts: the next call will ask for them.

Common questions

What rent caps did the 2026 Castile-La Mancha bridge aid use?

Order 62/2026 set four by municipality zone: 953 euros in type B stressed areas, 876 in type C ones, 762 in area 1 and 648 in area 2. Those caps rise by 20% for large families and households with a disabled member. The aid covered half the rent.

Was the Castile-La Mancha Bono paid in order of arrival?

Yes. The December 2025 call decided by date and time of the complete application until the 8 million euros ran out. For a room, only one beneficiary per lease was allowed. Filing with missing documents delayed your place, because the date that counted was the date the file was completed.

Could the Castile-La Mancha bridge aid be combined with the Bono?

Not for the same months. Order 62/2026 is designed as a temporary stand-in for the national plan and, like Royal Decree 42/2022, rules out two aids for the same rent. Anyone already receiving the 2025 Bono for months in 2026 could not claim the bridge aid for those months.
